I grew up across the street from my grandparents in Garden City Michigan and would spend hours watching my grandfather paint. My grandfather died when I was 9 and I did not start painting until high school art class with the encouragement of Mrs. Bolton. I starred on my High School baseball and football teams therefore painting was not a priority. I have redeveloped a love for the beach from Mr. Simbari and have decided that people near the water will be my theme of future works. I am in the ongoing process of accumulating photographs of interesting people which I can use in my paintings. Some of my most recent works are shown below.
